Today I have been reflecting on the quote "there is nothing to fear but fear itself" and it's amazing that Pema Chodron posted her quote today as it to reflects very much the same thing, and you know what I saw after looking for a bit? So here is what I decerned after observing my own thoughts (by the way something as a coach I can show you how to do..) : Fear has only the importance that I choose to feed it - typically that which I am afraid of is usually only thoughts verses anything that is truly "real" in the context of physically real. Oh yes they do appear real and given your focus or feed that can even become so real they physically effect you.. and yet they're only real in that the thought exists, but not outside of that. You know what I'm talking about "turn back, you'll never be successful, are you crazy to go for this, oh my, what if you loose everything you invested, you're fine just doing what your doing, go back to school at your age...on and on " ...those kind of self limiting thoughts...So yes it is when we move towards and beyond what we fear that we bring into physical reality that which we are here to show...So a more interesting question today would be what do you want your life to reflect your "fear" or your vision? PS - fear filled thoughts have you in doubt then worry and back to doubt and they want it now...no patience, no spaciousness, you are right and others are wrong... |
